Nice comfortable place.

Riverside hotel, rooms with river or pool views. Nice new walking path goes right past the hotel. Exceptional river views from deck of hotel restaurant. Great continental breakfast.

This faculty is not centrally located, so you will get a little exercise, checking out the rest of the city.

Great location. Clean and stylish.

Great location on the river and on the lovely new promenade. Very clean, modern and stylish Helpful staff

The room could have been improved by having outdoor furniture so we could sit on the balcony. The breakfast choices were a little limited - no yoghurt and no egg station. But these are small issues. Overall it was great.

Classy option if you need to stay near the border

Nice modern decor. Very clean. Luxury feel. Beautiful river views from room balcony and restaurant terrace. Decent long pool. Friendly staff. Proper fluffy towels. Good fish fried rice for breakfast. A couple of nice cafés and restaurants within easy reach.

Staff confidently gave us incorrect information about the buses to Chiang Rai.

A pleasant stay on the river

The hotel is 10 mins from the bus stop a very easy walk. The bus trip was longer than expected. (9hrs instead of 6 due to breakdown). We arrived tired and had not eaten for most of the day. The welcome from the staff was exceptional. The food at the hotel is good. We had a lovely dinner on the terrace overlooking the Mekong. The breakfast the next morning was good too. They hired a taxi for us to get down to the border crossing the next day.

This is a newish hotel with large capacity. We seemed to be only ones there. We had a nice room overlooking the river. The bathroom had some plumbing problem with a leak perhaps from the cistern. We overnighted only so no huge problem for us.

Clean, quiet, good location and service at reasonable price.

Location was okay about 10 minutes walk to the town center. I stayed at the river front rooms facing the Mekong River and Laos on the other side. They have a balcony outside the room so I spent a lot of time chatting with my friends there. Place was quiet with scenic views. Breakfast was just okay.

Could have more choices of food for breakfast.

Awesome

Very clean, nicely decorated room, view over the mekong river, breakfast was good, staff was very friendly. Water and tea and coffee in the room. Good place if you bought a slowboat package and you dont want to stay in the included dump hotel. Would stay here again :)

The 'ding-dong' sound from the elevator is a bit loud, and audible in the rooms. No biggie since not many people use the elevator at night, but still unwanted. Also would be nice to get a ashtray on the balcony.

I love Chiangkong, Look forward to the next trip to Chiangkong.

Chiangkong gave me a good memory a few years ago, so I spent 5 days in Chiangkong with my family and friends this year. Chiangkong is still peaceful, clean and friendly! Four years ago, the Thai government allowed Chinese vehicles to enter the country. At that time, the business of Chiangkong Hotels and restaurants were very hot. Now, it's very depressed. It's a pity! It's true that too many self driving vehicles disturb the lives of some Thais, but now, it's obvious that they are going to the other extreme. Can a compromise be considered?

However, due to the construction of bicycle lanes along the river, the footpath along the river is very dirty. Breakfast is relatively simple with few kinds.

Awesome

The hotel is sitruated in a beautiful location overlooking the Mekong river and we were lucky enough to get a room on the top floor with a perfect little balcony to sit out on. The room was nice inside with a comfortable bed and robes to put on which was a nice touch. The staff at the hotel were also very welcoming and friendly, overall I would say this was a very nice hotel and I would deffinitely stay again.

The hotel felt a little bit run down in places and could do with a bit of a freshen up. There was also unfortunately some pipe works being completed on the road outside the hotel by the river, which meant it was a bit noisey and dusty when sitting outside!

If I had a chance to go to work in Chiang Khong , I would choose this hotel to get rest again.

I like the service from the hotel staffs. They are very friendly and helpful.

Transportation. Van/car service from airport to hotel and hotel and airport is not FREE.

Worth the stay

Location is great, right on the Mekong River and there is a morning market right in front of the hotel. I had the executive room with river view and the view was great. Room is very comfortable and spacious. Receptionist was great. She handled the welcome drinks and the checking in. Checking in process was really fast. The restaurant overlook the river and really nice.

Breakfast was a bit below my expectation. The quality of the food could be better. There is 2 buildings and we travelled as a group of 8 rooms. 7 rooms were in one building and the remaining room in the other building. Would be great if they could put us all in the same building.

Quiet, comfortable, good river views.

My room had a wonderful view of the Mekong River and Laos beyond. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Public areas were airy and comfortable, nice indoor-outdoor design. Good view of the Mekong from the outdoor dining terrace.
